Conductive Hydrogels Progress Prospects Biomedical Project Details
| Abstract |
Conductive hydrogels (CHs) are a major development in biomedical engineering, merging the biomimetic properties of hydrogels and conductive properties. These hydrogels are unique in their ability to control how cells interact, creating a microenvironment that promotes cellular growth, proliferation, and migration. Thus, CHs have become an important resource for future uses in regenerative medicine and tissue engineering. One of the primary goals is to develop a comprehensive understanding of the complex interrelationships of the composition, architecture, and design parameters of CHs. Significant attention is given to the latest developments for biomedical applications, including but not limited to, skin tissue regeneration, spinal cord injury repair, muscle tissue reconstruction, cardiac biosciences, and
biosensing. The project will focus on the design and synthesis of numerous types of CHs and a thorough evaluation of alternative method CH preparation. Furthermore, the project will evaluate contemporary challenges related to the use of CHs, describe innovative approaches to address these challenges, and elucidate the relationship between the material and biological properties to support the design and use of CHs in advancing biomedical applications.
