Risk Assessment Environmental Health Hazards is a M.Tech project topic for Chemical Engineering. It gives students a clear starting point for research, implementation planning, and documentation.
Risk Assessment Environmental Health Hazards Project Details
| Abstract |
The chemical sector is undergoing notable growth with the global production of chemicals expected to rise continually for many years. This growth requires a comprehensive understanding of the dangers related to the chemicals manufactured, particularly the organic solvents that are increasingly used in the various processes within industries. This research-based project is centered on a critical review of the risk assessment and the environmental and health risks of two organic solvents, Hexane (HEX) and Ethyl Acetate (EtOAc). The purpose of this study is to analyze existing literature on HEX and EtOAc that critically examines toxicology and the associated risks to health and safety, as well as their environmental impact, through
the American Chemistry Council (ACC), the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI), the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and the European chemical agencies. The aim of this sprawling study is to build the basis for the management of risks associated with HEX and EtOAc for appropriate decision-making on the safe handling of chemicals, the policies, and the need for improved practices in the sustainable management of chemicals in chemical engineering.
