A Simulation Task Manager Production is a M.Tech project topic for Chemical Engineering. It gives students a clear starting point for research, implementation planning, and documentation.
A Simulation Task Manager Production Project Details
| Abstract |
This research introduces the concept of a Simulation Task Manager (STM) to address critical limitations within production planning and scheduling (PPS) simulation. While simulation is extensively utilized, the underlying modeling process frequently lacks structured documentation for decisions concerning scope, detail, and trade-offs. Furthermore, current applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in this domain predominantly automate discrete tasks, rather than facilitating collaborative reasoning within human-AI teams. Leveraging a systematic literature review focused on PPS simulation and insights derived from the study of Human-AI Teams, this work develops the STM as an innovative orchestration layer. Employing a Design Science Research methodology, the study systematically derives comprehensive design goals and functional requirements, culminating in
the presentation of an early prototype. The STM is designed to structure the simulation workflow, explicitly define roles and decision-making processes, and integrate AI as a collaborative assistant. This human-centered artifact concept significantly enhances transparency and coordination in simulation modeling, thereby advancing practices consistent with Industry 5.0.
