dijkstra algorithm in wireless sensor networks Project Details

Abstract

This project designs and builds an optimized communication protocol for wireless ad‑hoc sensor networks that use the 2.4 GHz band. To keep data traffic from getting jammed and to improve how many data sets are passed between mobile platforms, the protocol uses two classic shortest‑path algorithms: Dijkstra’s algorithm and the Floyd‑Warshall algorithm. The network is treated as a dynamic graph where each mobile platform is a node. These algorithms turn the graph into efficient trees or other structures, which makes data routing faster, cuts delay, and lowers overall network overhead. The work also tackles the problems of changing network size and three‑dimensional (3D) positioning of mobile nodes. We test both

algorithms with simulations and hardware‑in‑the‑loop prototypes, looking at different node densities and movement patterns. The material gives B.Tech students step‑by‑step help for setting up, simulating, and analyzing routing protocols, plus clear guidance on components and how to implement wireless communication systems.
