An online virtual laboratory model is a B.Tech project topic for Computer Science & Engineering. It gives students a clear starting point for research, implementation planning, and documentation.
An online virtual laboratory model Project Details
| Abstract |
The shift to remote learning showed how important it is to have handsβon engineering labs that anyone can reach. This work fills that gap with a lowβcost prototype remote lab built on a clientβserver Internet of Things (IoT) model, aimed at teaching renewable energy. The system separates users into three rolesβadministrators, lecturers, and studentsβso access is secure. Everyone uses a normal web browser to control the lab; no special software is needed. On the hardware side, the setup includes a microcontroller, a solar cell (PV module), and environmental sensors that collect realβtime data. The main experiment looks at how changes in temperature and light intensity affect the solar panelβs power
output and overall efficiency. Sensor readings are sent to the web interface, letting students run practical solarβenergy experiments from anywhere. The paper presents a working prototype, but it still needs testing with larger groups of students and under different weather conditions. Fried Engineers offers implementation support and component guidance so students can build similar IoTβbased remote labs for their projects.
