CS&SE@SW 2025 quantitative review 8th Project Details
| Abstract |
The project gives research guidance and handsβon support for doing a quantitative, repeatable bibliometric and topic review of scientific papers, using the CS&SE@SW 2025 workshop proceedings as a model. It relies on a programmatic measurement framework: all metrics are produced by automated scripts that run on deposited openβaccess data. To map the topics in a focused document collection, the system uses a controlled vocabulary of 53 concepts and a bootstrapβaudited Ward partition of highβdimensional document embeddings. The resulting clusters are then compared with independent expert groupings for validation. The framework also adds multiβvendor large language model (LLM) agents that automatically code concepts and facets, and it measures interβannotator agreement across
five different model architectures. By fixing the problems of traditional keywordβbased linking in sparse corpora, the project provides clear steps for assessing academic proceedings, building a reliable pipeline for documentβembedding analysis, semantic clustering, and LLMβdriven content classification. This setup works as an advanced template for M.Tech students studying naturalβlanguageβprocessing applications in softwareβengineering literature.
