Design Assessment Li-Fi Home Automation is a B.Tech project topic for Electrical Engineering. It gives students a clear starting point for research, implementation planning, and documentation.
Design Assessment Li-Fi Home Automation Project Details
| Abstract |
This work designs, simulates, and builds a homeβautomation system that uses Light Fidelity (LiβFi) instead of traditional radioβfrequency (RF) methods like WiβFi and Bluetooth. By sending data through visible light, the system reduces electromagnetic interference and improves data security inside a house. The design connects several sensors that can automatically monitor and control appliances using modulated light signals. To prove the idea works, a hardware prototype was built and a software simulation was created in Proteus to compare with the realβworld tests. A circuit diagram made in Tinkercad is also included to show how the components are wired. A technical comparison looks at LiβFi versus WiβFi and Bluetooth in terms
of cost, speed, and security. The results show that visibleβlight communication is a practical, lowβcost, and highly secure option for local homeβautomation, especially in places where RF use is limited or unwanted.
