Designing Controlling Electric Go-Kart is a B.Tech project topic for Automobile Engineering. It gives students a clear starting point for research, implementation planning, and documentation.
Designing Controlling Electric Go-Kart Project Details
| Abstract |
This paper presents various design features and control methods to improve the performance and safety of electric go-karts. The system includes a 5KW, 48V, 3000rpm Brushless DC (BLDC) motor along with a 48V, 35Ah lithium-ion battery, and will meet the specifications for the Global Karting Championship – 2023 Season 9. Based on a review of literature and experimental studies, these features examine a large number of areas including battery selection, frame design, motor choice, and control system design. The study demonstrates various trade-offs involved when designing electric go-karts, including power consumption, acceleration, and steering. The design and safety of systems such as emergency stop systems and high risk areas of
a high voltage electrical system are addressed. The design control methods and principles discussed in this paper will provide the basis for continued development of electric go-karts, both for commercial and leisure purposes. It also greatly assists electric vehicles and sustainable transport research.
