Abstract

This research intends to analyze and overview all aspects of fermented fish products, including their traditional processing methods, various forms, and health-related claims. Special attention will be paid to the classification of regional fermented fish products and the cultural importance of their varieties. The investigation will prioritize the alleged health claims of fermented fish products, especially their nutrition, probiotics, and bioactive compounds, and will evaluate the scientific evidence based on gut health and

disease prevention. The aim of this project is to amalgamate existing literature, identify similarities and differences in methods of production, and determine the validity of health claims to promote a better understanding of the importance of fermented fish products in human nutrition and food security.
