This document describes the creation of MOSAIC-HFC, a Multi-Objective Sustainable Integrated Cost-effective framework for Hybrid Fibre Composites. The main aim is to develop a comprehensive methodology that enables the simultaneous optimization of several key factors pertaining to the design and selection of these novel materials. The framework combines a variety of analytical and computational methods in a coherent fashion to tackle, at the same time, issues of performance, sustainability, and cost. With a focus on multiple objectives, MOSAIC-HFC is able to go beyond single-criterion design and enhance the quality of the decisions made. It focuses on creating composite materials that not only meet stringent requirements of functionality but also comply
with the demands of being environmentally friendly and economically viable throughout their entire lifespan. It is anticipated that the integrated design of the framework will simplify the design task at hand and provide engineers with a clear guide to assess and optimise a variety of hybrid fibre composite configurations. This work is aimed at producing an innovative tool for the engineering of advanced composite materials to promote sustainable engineering solutions, based on the data collected.
