Operation Optimization Multiple Regional Integrated Project Details
| Abstract |
This research tackles the problem of coordinating many Regional Integrated Energy Systems (RIESs) so that each one runs well while the whole network stays economical. Traditional centralized control often runs into heavy computation loads and privacy issues when it has to manage many distributed energy resources. To solve this, the paper introduces a twoโlevel optimization framework that uses a cloudโedge cooperative architecture. * **Upper level:** A cloudโbased energyโmanagement platform performs realโtime optimization. It coordinates power exchanges among the RIESs and aims to maximize the overall system economy. * **Lower level:** Edge nodes run Model Predictive Control (MPC) to create detailed local energyโcontrol models. These edge controllers use shortโterm forecasts of
renewable generation and load demand to continuously adjust their operation. Simulation results show that the cloudโedge coordinated control strategy successfully balances the interests of individual RIESs with the efficiency of the whole system during realโtime operation. For M.Tech students, this framework offers a solid base for research in distributed control, showing how to build hierarchical optimization models and implement MPCโbased edge controllers.
