This work builds a clear, step‑by‑step system for managing intellectual property rights (IPR), analyzing patents, and protecting digital assets in software engineering. Because software tools, open‑source models, and proprietary algorithms change so quickly, we need strong methods to find, protect, and evaluate these assets and help the economy grow. The study proposes a method that uses natural‑language processing (NLP) and machine learning to: – automatically search for prior art, – sort software patents into categories, – judge whether new technologies are economically worthwhile. By looking at patent metadata, claim language, and technical descriptions, the framework gives researchers and developers practical advice for moving through the complicated world of software patents.

It also examines how decentralized ledgers can provide secure, transparent, and unchangeable digital rights management. Overall, the research offers a detailed review and a practical guide that helps universities and engineering departments match their work to global IP standards, linking academic research with commercial development.
