Performance Analysis Electric Motorcycles as Project Details
| Abstract |
This research investigates the operational performance of a 3000 W Brushless Direct Current (BLDC) motor integrated into an electric motorcycle, specifically adapted for logistics applications. The study comprehensively evaluates key metrics including energy consumption, motor efficiency, and overall vehicle performance under varied operational conditions. Experimental testing was conducted utilizing a 72 V 24 Ah lithium-ion battery system, with systematic variations in vehicle speed, ranging from 30 km/h to 60 km/h, and payload capacities of 100 kg and 150 kg. The analytical framework encompassed detailed measurements of electrical parameters such as voltage, current, and power, alongside energy consumption and vehicle dynamics like speed and travel distance. Furthermore, the analysis incorporated calculations
for critical forces influencing vehicle motion, including traction force, rolling resistance, aerodynamic drag, climbing force, and acceleration force. The findings indicate a direct correlation between increased vehicle speed and heavier payload with a significant rise in power consumption, primarily attributed to augmented aerodynamic drag, rolling resistance, and motor workload. The most energy-efficient operational state was identified at speeds between 30 km/h and 40 km/h, yielding the lowest energy consumption rate of 29.27 Wh/km, underscoring the importance of operational parameters in optimizing electric vehicle efficiency for logistics.
