Performance Assessment High Strength Self is a M.Tech project topic for Civil Engineering. It gives students a clear starting point for research, implementation planning, and documentation.
Performance Assessment High Strength Self Project Details
| Abstract |
This project gives structuralβengineering guidance for testing the shear behavior of highβstrength selfβcompacting concrete (SCC) beams. The concrete used is M70 grade made with manufactured sand (Mβsand). Six reinforced concrete beams are built with the same amount of longitudinal reinforcement, but with different amounts of shear reinforcement. The study measures several key responses: – load at first cracking – ultimate load capacity – how cracks grow and their widths – deflection at the midβspan and at oneβthird of the span Experimental results are checked against predictions from widely used international design codes and standard shearβstrength equations. In addition, the Response 2000 program is used for numerical simulations to forecast loadβdeflection
curves and shearβstress distribution. The framework helps postgraduate students see why shear failure in highβstrength SCC is brittle, and it lets them compare physical test data, code calculations, and nonβlinear sectional analysis results.
