Remote Data Acquisition System Photovoltaic is a B.Tech project topic for Instrumentation and Control Engineering. It gives students a clear starting point for research, implementation planning, and documentation.
Remote Data Acquisition System Photovoltaic Project Details
| Abstract |
In places like Sukkur, Pakistan, high‑speed internet is hard to find, which makes it difficult to watch off‑grid solar water‑pumping systems. This work solves that problem by creating a remote data‑acquisition and logging system that uses the widely available 2G GSM network. An Arduino board serves as the main controller and connects to a set of sensors that measure the key operating parameters of the PV pump. The data are saved in real time on an SD card for later analysis and also sent through a 2G GSM module to a remote monitoring station, so the system can be tracked even where bandwidth is low. An OLED screen on the
device shows the status locally in real time. The 2G network covers a large area, but its slow data rate means we cannot transmit data very often; the design must balance how frequently we send data against how much power the system uses. This project gives engineering students practical steps to build reliable, low‑cost telemetry for remote agricultural or rural applications.
