Historically, the absence of such education has left students inadequately equipped to evaluate the positive and negative consequences of aerospace advancements on humanity. The initiative aims to develop and implement structured ethics lessons designed to enhance students' understanding of macroethical analyses. These lessons are intended to illuminate the real-world implications of aerospace engineering practices, fostering a more comprehensive perspective on

their professional responsibilities. Aerospace engineering faces distinct macroethical challenges, including climate change, the management of space debris, ethical considerations in space resource mining, the societal role of the military-industrial complex, and the long-term implications of space settlement. By embedding these ethical considerations into undergraduate courses, the project seeks to cultivate a generation of aerospace engineers who are not only technically proficient but also deeply aware of their societal and ethical obligations, thereby contributing to a more responsible and sustainable future in aerospace.
