Abstract

This study analyzes how digital construction technologies — specifically the Internet of Things (IoT), Building Information Modeling (BIM), and Artificial Intelligence (AI) — can be incorporated by professionals in Indonesia's green building industry, and the impact such technologies may have on the energy savings and efficiency of future green building initiatives. The research also aims to develop an extensive model of readiness within building construction that integrates the United Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT2) and Task Technology Fit (TTF) as a model to assess the readiness of green construction teams to use digital construction technology to improve the energy efficiency of their projects. The study employs a

rigorous application of Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to ascertain the reliability and validity of the model's constructs and the relationships among the constructs. The results of the study show that the final model explains 93.0% of the variance in Behavioral Intention (BI), 34.4% of the variance in Use Behavior (UB), and 44.2% of the variance in Performance Expectancy (PE). BIwas found to be a significant predictor of the actual use of the technology. Social influence, perceived value, and performance expectancy, as well as the habitual use of the technology, were found to influence BI. Moreover, the absence of Facilitating Conditions (FC) was found to negatively impact BI,

indicating that there may be an over-reliance on organizational support. The study provides the barriers and drivers to the successful adoption of digital construction technologies to enhance energy performance within green building initiatives.
