active noise control circuit topology for multiple-feature Project Details
| Abstract |
This project develops and tests a tunable active noise control (ANC) circuit that can be used in many different applications. Typical ANC systems have fixed hardware, which makes it hard to adapt to changing acoustic environments or varied noise types. To fix that, we explore a hybrid analogβdigital circuit that can be reconfigured and tuned on the fly. We add adjustable filter stages and matching networks so the circuit can reduce noise in several frequency bands and change its settings in real time. Our method includes modeling the acousticβelectroβmechanical path, simulating how the circuit behaves with different noise spectra, and checking stability with frequencyβdomain analysis. M.Tech students will learn how
to set up the mathematics for the tunable filters, run simulations in SPICE and MATLAB/Simulink, and measure noiseβreduction efficiency in various operating modes. The work also helps students examine tradeβoffs among circuit complexity, power consumption, and noiseβattenuation performance, providing a solid base for advanced mechatronic noiseβcontrol projects.
