COLLABORATIVE PROJECT AS DIDACTIC PLATFORM is a M.Tech project topic for Mechanical Engineering. It gives students a clear starting point for research, implementation planning, and documentation.
COLLABORATIVE PROJECT AS DIDACTIC PLATFORM Project Details
| Abstract |
This research looks at how to set up a crossβborder, virtual teamwork system for teaching advanced additive manufacturing. It is a joint effort by engineering schools in different countries. The approach creates an online coβdevelopment platform that tackles the technical and organizational problems of Industry 4.0. The core of the project is a remotely guided installation and calibration of a filamentβextrusion machine that makes composite material. The composite is poly(lactic acid) (PLA) reinforced with carbon fibers. Using a structured virtual workflow, students work together to choose extrusion settings, characterize the material, and design test pieces. The resulting carbonβfiberβreinforced PLA filament is fed into a fused deposition modeling (FDM) printer. The
printer produces standard tensileβtest specimens and more complex threeβdimensional parts. The study measures two things: how strong the printed parts are and how well the distributed engineering workflow teaches the students. By comparing the mechanical strength of the printed samples with the communication and projectβmanagement methods used, the framework offers a clear way to do remote collaborative engineering, material processing, and distributed manufacturing validation.
