Cost Overrun Financial Risk Infrastructure is a B.Tech project topic for Civil Engineering. It gives students a clear starting point for research, implementation planning, and documentation.
Cost Overrun Financial Risk Infrastructure Project Details
| Abstract |
The performance of any infrastructure performance is adversely impacted by cost overruns and financial risks that are associated with the project. The sustainability of future investments is affected by these same factors. This study is directed at these problems and identifies the main causes of cost increases and the cause of financial risk during infrastructure projects. The study analyzes previous research on construction management, financing of projects, and infrastructure development, using a qualitative approach. The major findings are a shortage in planning, poor estimation of costs, changes in the design, delays, and variability in cash flow. Other studies also note the variations in costs for construction materials and poor financial
management. Furthermore, studies in construction cite the potential BIM (Building Information Modeling) has for improving cost management and financial control. There are other potential digital technologies that could add to financial management and cost control. Improved project performance, and the sustainable implementation of infrastructure projects, require a holistic approach to engineering management, financial management, and risk management.
