Dynamic Modeling Plantwide Control Production is a M.Tech project topic for Chemical Engineering. It gives students a clear starting point for research, implementation planning, and documentation.
Dynamic Modeling Plantwide Control Production Project Details
| Abstract |
Producing biodiesel and highβpurity glycerol needs strong plantβwide control to deal with feed changes, keep product quality, and stay safe. This work guides the creation of a detailed dynamic model for the transesterification and purification sections of a biodiesel plant. By running systematic simulations, we study how the reactorβseparator network behaves over time under different operating conditions. The control design focuses on plantβwide loops that keep inventory, temperature, and pressure stable throughout the process. We test the control systemβs performance when throughput varies or feed composition shifts, making sure both biodiesel and glycerol meet strict industrial purity specs. Looking at how recycle streams interact with unit operations helps pinpoint the
most important control pairings and how to tune them. The final simulation model provides a base for trying out advanced control strategies, improving energy integration, and proving that continuous biodiesel production is feasible.
