Bond Strength Alccofine Normal High Project Details
| Abstract |
This study looks at how well steel reinforcement sticks to concrete that contains Alccofine 1203, an ultraβfine slagβbased mineral admixture. Both normalβstrength concrete (NSC) and highβstrength concrete (HSC) mixes are examined. We design the mixes so that part of the cement is replaced by Alccofine. This lets us see how the replacement changes mechanical properties, workability, and the density of the concreteβs microstructure. The main test is a standardized pullβout test. We cast concrete cubes and cylinders with embedded steel bars, then pull the bars out to measure the maximum bond stress and the amount of slip. By comparing ordinary mixes with those that contain Alccofine, we assess whether the
ultraβfine admixture improves mechanical interlocking, friction, and adhesion at the steelβconcrete interface. The work also considers sustainability. Using Alccofine, which is made from industrial waste, could lower the carbon footprint of concrete production. Implementation support includes: – setting up a clear experimental design, – confirming the chosen mix proportions, – analyzing loadβdisplacement curves from the pullβout tests, and – linking compressive strength results to bond performance.
