Educational Platform Teaching Automation Control is a B.Tech project topic for Instrumentation and Control Engineering. It gives students a clear starting point for research, implementation planning, and documentation.
Educational Platform Teaching Automation Control Project Details
| Abstract |
We built a lab platform that helps students learn industrial automation and control using a pneumatic levitation system. The device blows air in a controlled way to hold an object at a set height, providing a clear test case for different control methods. The hardware is linked to software written in LabVIEW and MATLAB, so we can collect data, watch the system, and adjust it in real time. We tested two control approaches: a traditional ProportionalβIntegralβDerivative (PID) controller and a ProportionalβDerivative (PD) fuzzyβlogic controller. We judged performance by looking at how the system responded to step inputs, checking tracking accuracy, overshoot, and settling time. The platform lets students connect theory
with real hardware, try out programmable logic controllers, calibrate sensors, and explore advanced algorithms. Comparing the classic and intelligent controllers shows the realβworld difficulties of stabilizing a nonβlinear system in real time.
